This is awesome!!
While going throught the book One True God (which i encourage you all to read) I came across Luke 19:10 the verse says "for the son of man has come to seek and save that which was lost." This verse is so awesome because that God's purpose for sending his only begotten son was to seek me out when i was lost. This verse implies that at one time all men belonged to God but we had been seperated from him (which was excatly what had happend in the fall) So God desired to have all men returned to him so that we might fellowship together once again. This was why Christ came, he came to restore that fellowship between him and man, that adam had once had in the begining. Another verse that really spoke to me today durring my study was John 17:3 the verse says "And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the one and only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." This verse spoke to me because it says that the essence of eternal life is that we may know God in other words God seeks to have a relationshp with man he went to the length of sending his only begoten son to obtain that realtionship. that is awesome and THAT IS LOVE!!

well, these past few days have been tough for me i was starting to get depressed about the way things were going, God was/is humbling me. I sat at youth group wed. night and I was saddened because i knew that if God did not show up at youth NOTHING could happen. i relized that if God's not going to work theres no point in anything. I had felt like I had not been doing enough praying, begging, and asking God to show up. God has been showing me that he is the only means by which anything that is accomplished is accomplished It felt like God had hidden himself from me and he was doing it to drive me to the point of throwing myself on the ground and crying out for him to work in people's lives. To be quite honest that is what we all should be doing. I have also been struggling at school because i don't have an intrest in talking about much beside God, and if you have ever been to a public school you know that some of the most ungodly conversations take place on a daily basis. I would get depressed when i would hear the conversations people would have and I began to really see the spiritual state of the majority of High School students. I think that God was showing me this to break my heart, and not only that, but to show me that i need to intercede for these people.
I would like to ask you all to do something next week at school, just look at the spiritual state of the people you come in to contact with. Ask God how you can pray for these people, and how you can share the light with them.
I found a really cool passage of scripture that helped me understand why I was/am going through this rough time. The scripture is 2nd corinthians 1:3-11. Paul tells us that all the trials we endure are for a purpose. the experience that we go through can help us minister to someone else who is going through the same kind of trial. Ultimately it is all for God's glory! I really like verses 9-10 it says: yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in our selves but in God who raises from the dead, who deliverd us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that he will still deliver us, Paul tells us in these verses that The God that deliverd us from the great death (hell) and there is nothing to worry about because God, the one who saved you is watching over us.
